Terms of Use
Last Updated: May 18th, 2026
Welcome to Say Something Random (“Terms”). These Terms apply to your access to and use of our websites, mobile applications, APIs, widgets, and other digital services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by Say Something Random (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Say Something Random is intended to be a public platform for expression, discussion, and entertainment, but there are still important rules that apply to all users. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
1. Your Access to the Services
No one under 13 is allowed to use or access the Services. Certain areas of the Services may require you to be older to access them. For example, you must be at least 18 years old to view content marked as graphic or otherwise mature.
By using the Services, you state that:
- You are at least 13 years old and over the minimum age required by the laws of your country or jurisdiction to access and use the Services.
- You can form a legally binding agreement with Say Something Random, or, if you are over 13 but under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
- You are not prohibited from using the Services under any applicable laws or regulations.
- You have not been permanently suspended, banned, or removed from the Services.
If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Accounts and Anonymous Use
Authenticated Users: To access the full scope of the platform, including premium paid features, you must create an account using a valid email and password. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
Guest Sessions: We allow anyone to join and use the site anonymously with limited features (primarily posting and interactions). To prevent platform abuse and enforce bans, we use device fingerprinting and IP tracking. You acknowledge that your "anonymous" status does not exempt you from these Terms or from our technical enforcement measures.
Please review our Privacy Policy for more information on how we handle user data for both registered and anonymous users.
3. Your Use of the Services
Subject to your ongoing compliance with these Terms, Say Something Random grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable, and limited license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial use. This license includes the right to use our website, mobile applications, and related platform features on devices owned or controlled by you. All rights not expressly granted to you under these Terms are reserved by Say Something Random and its licensors.
Except where prohibited by applicable law, you may not, without our prior written consent:
- License, sell, rent, lease, transfer, assign, distribute, host, or otherwise commercially exploit the Services or any platform content.
- Modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, disassemble, decompile, or reverse engineer any portion of the Services.
- Access or use the Services in order to build a competing platform, product, or service.
- Use automated systems, bots, scrapers, or data-mining tools to access the Services in an unauthorized manner.
We are constantly improving and evolving the Services. As a result, features, tools, functionality, or portions of the platform may be added, modified, suspended, or removed at any time, with or without notice. You agree that Say Something Random will not be liable for any modification, interruption, suspension, or discontinuation of any part of the Services.
We may personalize portions of the platform experience based on factors such as your activity, interactions, preferences, followed content, and platform engagement. This may include recommendations, trending content, suggested posts, or other personalized experiences intended to improve usability and relevance.
4. Your Content
The Services may contain text, posts, comments, links, graphics, images, videos, audio, software, interactive tools, and other materials or content (“Content”), including content submitted, uploaded, published, or otherwise shared by you (“Your Content”). You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for Your Content and for any consequences resulting from posting, publishing, or sharing it through the Services. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, legality, reliability, or quality of any Content made available through the platform, and we do not necessarily endorse opinions, statements, or materials posted by users.
By submitting or publishing Your Content through the Services, you represent and warrant that:
- You own or otherwise have all necessary rights, permissions, licenses, and authority required to post and distribute Your Content.
- Your Content does not violate any applicable law, intellectual property right, privacy right, or contractual obligation.
- Your Content complies with these Terms and all platform policies.
You retain ownership rights to Your Content. However, by creating, uploading, posting, or otherwise submitting Your Content to the Services, you grant Say Something Random a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, host, store, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, and create derivative works from Your Content in connection with operating, improving, promoting, and providing the Services.
This license includes the right to make Your Content available through partners, integrations, syndication, recommendation systems, promotional materials, machine learning systems, moderation systems, and future technologies related to the operation and improvement of the platform. You also agree that we may remove or modify technical metadata associated with Your Content where necessary for platform functionality, formatting, moderation, security, or distribution purposes.
Any suggestions, feedback, feature requests, ideas, or recommendations you provide regarding the Services may be used by Say Something Random without restriction, attribution, or compensation to you.
While we reserve the right to review, moderate, remove, restrict, demonetize, or disable access to any Content at our sole discretion, we are under no obligation to monitor all Content submitted to the Services. We may remove or restrict Your Content at any time for violations of these Terms, legal compliance, safety concerns, moderation decisions, platform integrity, or any other reason deemed necessary by Say Something Random.
5. Third-Party Content, Advertisements, and Promotions
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, products, services, advertisements, integrations, or other external content (“Third-Party Content”) provided by advertisers, partners, affiliates, or other users. Third-Party Content is not owned or controlled by Say Something Random, and we are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, legality, reliability, security, or practices of any third-party websites, products, services, or content. Your interactions with Third-Party Content are solely between you and the applicable third party, and you access or use such content at your own risk. You should conduct any investigation or review you believe necessary before engaging in transactions or interactions involving Third-Party Content.
The Services may also display sponsored content, paid promotions, or advertisements. You acknowledge and agree that advertisements may appear alongside or within content published through the platform, including Your Content. The type, frequency, format, and targeting of advertisements or sponsored content may change over time as the Services evolve.
If you use the Services to conduct promotions, giveaways, contests, sweepstakes, or similar campaigns (“Promotions”), you are solely responsible for ensuring that such Promotions comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and platform requirements. This includes creating official rules, eligibility requirements, disclosures, prize terms, and any legally required registrations, licenses, or approvals associated with your Promotion. Any Promotion conducted through the Services must clearly state that it is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Say Something Random. You agree to release and hold harmless Say Something Random from any claims, liabilities, damages, or disputes arising from your Promotion or from interactions involving Third-Party Content. We are under no obligation to assist, manage, moderate, or support Promotions conducted through the Services, and all Promotions are conducted entirely at your own risk.
6. Things You Cannot Do
By accessing or using the Services, you agree that you will not use the platform to engage in unlawful, abusive, harmful, fraudulent, or disruptive behavior.
You further agree that you will not:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or legal obligation.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of these Terms and cooperate with law enforcement authorities or regulatory agencies where required by applicable law.
7. Subscriptions & Premium Features
Certain features of the Services may require payment, including premium subscriptions, digital features, upgrades, or other paid content (“Paid Services”).
Payments for Paid Services are processed through trusted third-party payment providers, including Stripe, the Apple App Store, and other authorized payment platforms depending on your device or region.
To comply with legal, financial, fraud-prevention, taxation, and platform security requirements, purchases and subscriptions must be associated with an authenticated account that can be linked to valid identity credentials or verified payment records where necessary. Anonymous or guest sessions may have limited access to Paid Services, and certain purchases may not be recoverable if account credentials, devices, authentication records, or platform identifiers are lost, changed, deleted, or become inaccessible.
By purchasing or subscribing to Paid Services, you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge your selected payment method for all applicable fees, taxes, subscriptions, renewals, or recurring charges associated with your purchase. Subscription plans may automatically renew unless canceled before the applicable renewal date through the payment platform used for the original purchase. Billing practices, payment processing, refunds, charge disputes, taxes, regional payment rules, and transaction security may also be governed by the terms and policies of the applicable third-party payment provider, including Stripe or the Apple App Store.
For more information regarding how account credentials, authentication systems, payment-related identifiers, and user data are handled, please review our Privacy Policy.
No Refunds: Except where required by applicable law or by the policies of the relevant payment provider or app marketplace, all purchases, subscriptions, and digital transactions are final and non-refundable.
8. Third-Party Services & Integrations
To provide our Services, we utilize various third-party platforms. This includes Vercel for hosting and IT services, Supabase for database management, the xAI API for artificial intelligence features, and Google AdSense for advertising. By using Say Something Random, you acknowledge that your interactions may rely on these underlying technologies. For comprehensive details on how data is handled alongside these third parties, please read our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Say Something Random, its affiliates, owners, employees, contractors, licensors, service providers, and partners disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, security, reliability, and accuracy. We do not guarantee that the Services will always be secure, uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free, or available at all times. You understand and agree that your use of the Services, including any reliance on content, interactions, recommendations, advertisements, or third-party materials, is entirely at your own risk.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update, modify, or revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, legal requirements, platform features, business practices, or security needs. When material changes are made, we may provide notice through the Services, update the “Last Updated” date, or use other reasonable methods of communication where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop accessing and using the Services.
